First of all we never lost power.Also my cousin weeding I when to I was the ring bearer I had to go

because who else can bear the rings?The worst thing is my palate expander it BROKE BROKE IT IS SO HEARTBREAKING. Owen ps they will have it in in three weeks. pps I feel naked with out it.

Todays day two with hurricane sandy. No school for two days.I hate make up days because there is boring arts and spelling. I think we will lose electricity around 11.00.Might not be able to blog for a day or two. owen

Today is Sunday and I turned my retainer fully for the first time I felt it tighten I have no idea how i'm supposed to get to used to it if I have to turn it to tighten it twice a week. Thats all folks.           

Its been a few days after my appointment  with the orthodontist  and I still hate my retainer, and my tongue is still investigating the palate expander. Im not in pain. Its just that the retainer is popping in and out. My palate expander is cemented on so its not popping in and out .Also I turned my retainer the first time and nothing happened that I felt.Will write daily. Owen Connelly  


**Owen has a retainer he wears on the bottom of his mouth that we turn with a key every Wednesday and Sunday.

Todays the big day! The palatal day with a video game as the reward! I will have three dots and I will stop writing  when I get home from the checkup I will write how it feels...  I have it in. My tongue is still playing with it. I feel it but it feels?I cant really say. kids that read this it does not hurt get a morning appt not a afternoon  appt ok ? owen connelly    

After the spacers....

Todays the 17 two days after my spacers I hate them because I have sore teeth so I cant really eat. I hope the palate expander is not like this! GIVE ME YOUR HONEST opinion do you think I am not paying the retainer enough attention?  sincerely Owen

Owen's mom here: Owen is getting a bottom retainer when the palate expander goes is to help correct his cross bite. It kind of looks like a mounthguard and he will be able to take it out when he brushes his teeth. He mentioned the other day that he has been so focused on the expander that he hasn't thought much about the retainer and has been wondering if that will bother him more. We've all assured him it won't hurt, it will just feel weird. Maybe we will take some pictures once they are in and post them. 

Day 3

Ok today is saturday and I am not worried at all about this palate stuff. By the way did I tell you that it will be a morning appointment 8:00 to be exact  and I will get to stay HOME.My spacers will be put back in on October 15 and the big day will be October 22.  I will keep in touch.

Day One

hello
my name is owen and I am 8 years old . It all started when mom told me I had a appointment with a orthodontist. what is a orthodontist I said you will see said mom so we got in the car and drove to the office. we did not like it. I REPEAT WE DID NOT LIKE IT so we drove to another office. we did not like that one either we drove to a third one. third times the charmer we liked it so maybe mom liked it but I did not.They told me I had a crossbite and I needed a palate expander.  So here I am. I am going to write about how I am feeling  before during and after my expander and maybe it can help another kid who needs one.
