  1. OK, so here's a way to spend your time using Halloween candy.
    1. Graph the candy. Lay it out in columns. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in one column, Smarties in another, and see how much you have of each.

    2. Bubble gum. Pick out all your bubble gum. Ask your Mom these 10 questions:

    a. Where did you meet Dad?
    b. What did you think of him when you first met him?
    c. What is your favorite color?
    d. What is your favorite meal?
    e. What was your best date ever?
    f. When you were a child, did you ride a bike?
    g. Where is your favorite place in the world?
    h. What is your favorite book to read to us?
    i. Who is your favorite author?
    j. What is your favorite sport?

    Write down all the answers.

Then ask your Dad the questions, changing the words a little bit, like "What is your favorite color?" to "What is Mom's favorite color?"

For every question he gets wrong, he needs to chew a piece of gum. He will add a piece of gum for every question he gets wrong. 5 wrong answers - he's chewing 5 pieces of gum.

You can ask him to answer the same questions and then ask your Mom.

I think this is a worthwhile use of gum. It won't go to waste. You'll get a little joy out of it. AND MOST OF ALL, I think it's fun.

    Love you,

    Happy palatal retainer!!!

PS: They still made me prove I'm not a robot. Who thinks of this stuff?

  2. I am so proud of you. You have overcome your fears and are doing what you need to do. I am sure your parents help a lot and James. Is he helpful too? How is Muffin? Being a good girl? Love you Owen and keep up the good work.
PS. Your birthday and Christmas is coming. Any idea of what you would like for those two special occasions? Let me know. Love you

  3. Hi Owen ,

I am glad your retainer and palate expander are going well. I knwo it is not fun because I have watched Kyle, Steph, Kevin and Sarah go through various contraptions in their mouths.
I can't wait to see you guys at Christine's wedding!
    Love,
    Aunt Amy
